We get asked, so we answered!
1. Q. The kit has no hook up for OEM coolant lines, will that be a problem?
A. Engine coolant runs around 220F-240F, this heat is power robbing, we purposefully remove these lines so heat does not get dumped into your charge air through a scalding hot throttle body. We supply custom silicone 10mm caps to efficiently delete the coolant lines that would otherwise be putting heat INTO your charge air. If you live in cold climates, don't fret, just let your engine warm up for another minute or two during cold start, this is commonly done on modded vehicles to keep charge air as dense as possible.
2. Q. What power gains will I see?
A. We worked closely with professional tuners (Florez Tuning of Arizona) to ensure our data was repeatable and true. We tested our product on a STOCK tune vehicle for true baseline results. Our full kit is compatible with virtually all tunes and mods, and you'll see more power with a modded vehicle.
3. Q. Will this kit work with my charge pipes?
A. We offer multiple configurations for charge pipe size and geometry, chances are we can accommodate you. If not sure, just shoot us an email at support@velossatech.com.
The stock throttle body is 68mm 🙁 — even worse, the throttle blade and shaft act as a flow path restriction (especially at WOT where airspeed is highest, and easily disrupted).
Bumping up the diameter of the throttle body to 76mm and port-matching it netted 10 WHP gains at the wheels on a STOCK TUNE vehicle! If you are modded, you'll likely pick up more, and the throttle response is NUTS! Trust us!

Test Results
- Performance logs provide validated measurable gains on a STOCK TUNE, under consistent conditions, within one hour, before/after. Tested in collaboration with Florez Tuning of Arizona.
This kit comes with everything you need, and the silicone couplers are custom molded for almost any configuration of boost piping you may have. OEM cold side piping and most aftermarket intercooler/charge piping options are compatible!
Port-matching is absolutely necessary to reduce pressure drop due to step changes in the flow path.

We proudly manufacture all products in-house right here in the USA. Our products are custom in nature, and as such, manufacturing lead times for any BIG MOUTH product are typically 1-2 weeks, and manufacturing lead times for Headlight Ram Air Intakes are typically 3-4 weeks. How it Works
As a car moves through the air, the air pressure directly in front of the bumper increases with the square of speed. The BIG MOUTH is strategically designed and positioned for maximum air pressure recovery. Basically, it feeds your current intake with higher pressure air.

Will water or rain come through the snorkel?
No damage to a car has ever been reported to us due to rain or snow. From our years of testing our products on 30+ platforms with thousands of miles driven in Florida torrential rain storms, we have never been able to produce any negative side effects after installing a BIG MOUTH ram air intake. However this does not mean that all cars are immune to issues that could arise with improper use or without considering the effects of harsh weather on aftermarket parts installed on your car. ALWAYS take great care when driving in the rain or snow, go slow, do not drive through deep puddles at high speeds and be cognizant of your surroundings.
Does my car require a re-tune after installing the BIG MOUTH?
No the car does not require a retune, however a retune by any reputable tuner will maximize your gains after installing the BIG MOUTH.
What is the warranty on Velossa Tech products?
We offer a 1-year manufacturers warranty on all products.
I am having trouble installing the BIG MOUTH ram air intake on my car. It may not be compatible with the model vehicle I have. Why may that be the case?
Certain products have different variations for different models. For instance, the Infiniti Q50 BIG MOUTH isn’t compatible with the Infiniti Q50 RS (Red Sport). We produce parts for specific variations of certain car models. If you are having issues with compatibility, please refer to our product catalogue and make sure you purchased the correct product.
